Dear all,

I don’t know if this is the correct forum, but today 17-07-2013 the Volkskrant dutch paper came with the message that funds were raised to unearth/lift/find remains of the buried Lancaster ED470 in a former swamp area near the Hummelose weg (road) near Zelhem (principality of Bronckhorst) in the Netherlands.

(or via internet: http://www.nieuwsmeldingen.nl/binnenlands-nieuws/788247/plannen-voor-berging-lancaster-af )

It was shot down by a Ju88.

From the original crew only one survived bailing out ; tailgunner John Miller.

The others are unknown (4 british, two australian..one name= Albert Keith Hornbrook) if they did jump or stayed in the plane (when crashed and exploded).

can anyone supply more info ?
