The following man is a cousin of my grandmother. With the help of a man called Matt Poole in america who has done some very extensive research on RAF Liberators myself and other members of the family have a very clear picture of what happened with his downed liberator (Daring Diana). I am still quite amazed, humbled and taken back by the work Matt has done and the help he has provided to myself and the families and words cannot express my gratitude.

One thing that is quite puzzling all of us. In the CWGC details it states he was “Mentioned in dispatches”. Myself, Matt nor other family members have been able to find his mention.

Can anyone help? Or could it simply be a mistake?
