  • More than 400 actors dressed up as Soviet Red Army soldiers and German troops to recreate the battle
  • The fight on January 27, 1944, finally forced the lifting of the German’s Siege of Leningrad which killed one million
  • The re-enactment on the 70th anniversary was part of memorial ceremonies across the city
